Job Requirements

The Commercial Construction Estimator is responsible for estimates in CSI Divisions 5,6,8,10,11 and 12. Responsible for insuring that all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete by:

  • Obtaining, calculating and compiling date for use in conceptual/bid proposal estimates.
  • Preparing routine estimates under general supervision
  • Maintains current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

In addition, the position will provide support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson on the job and of its elements.

Preferred Qualifications: (in addition to minimum qualifications)

Education Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Construction Management or equivalent
  • At least three (3) years recent (past year) estimating experience in the construction industry. Preferably with a GC or Specialty Interior contractor.
  • Additional 3+ years of Estimating experience is in the construction industry

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years+ estimating in the construction industry
